THE QUEEN MARY ROOM
With its expansive grounds, opulent guest rooms and unique interiors, Dover Hall transports you to a European destination. Much of its decor was sourced directly from Europe when it was built just outside of Richmond in the 1990s. The venue’s ambience provides a magnificent backdrop for these couture Marchesa gowns, highlighting their unique romantic flourishes. These fashions speak to the nontraditional bride who is looking for the epitome of personal expression, color and details.
THE KING EDWARD ROOM
We are following a bride and her maid of honor getting ready for the big day. This room was chosen to for its monochromatic blue tones and textures that compliment this maid of honor dress by Marchesa.
MEN’S DRESSING ROOM AND THE FRONT PARLOR
Grooms can enjoy a spacious getting-ready room with built-in details like these antique leather hat boxes. The original owners of Dover Hall also built extravagant his-and-hers closets that are now available to wedding couples. The carved stone fireplace mantel, which was sourced in Europe, provides a romantic scene for a perfect moment.
THE FORMAL DINING ROOM
In Dover Hall’s formal dining room you will find a show stopping Kelly green wall color, which showcases this cake vignette. A gold buffet, flickering candles and draping velvet linen create an elegant look for a dessert display.
THE ROSE GARDEN
Dover Hall’s Rose Garden provides a perfect backdrop for wedding planners to create an intimate alfresco dining experience for a couple’s family and friends. Here table stylings, by Kristin Shockley of Lustre Theory, include lush details that help bring each individual place setting to life. Guests can enjoy sitting down with a glittering coupe glass full of sparkling wine, nibbling on bread and fruit while waiting for the meal to be served.
The flowers by Photosynthesis Floral Design are organic and romantic. Included with the table design are six stunning floral chairs with crawling greens that mirror each other on opposite sides.
The custom stationery, by Lustre Theory, is hand painted with gold foil detailing and calligraphy. Each set has a whimsical French influenced design and hue. Invitations are a great way to let guests know the overall aesthetic they can expect for the event.
